We are happy to announce that the Board of Directors has approved the EAC Master Facilities Plan 2008-2017. This plan was the result of many hours of work and discussion with parents, our teachers and staff, and our students.  Together, these stakeholders arrived at a plan which will meet our needs today, and enable EAC to continue to grow and succeed.  The first actions in this plan actually began last year with renovations to the elementary school restrooms, the main office, improved conditions for our elementary music class, and the addition of covered walkways to protect our children from the rain. Now we are ready to start a new phase of the plan where we will build new facilities, and renovate others.

 

The Master Plan calls for the following buildings to be constructed or renovated:

1. New Gym

2. Toddlers & Elementary Music Center

3. New traffic flow patterns

4. Elementary School classrooms renovation

5. New Upper School wing with 7 classrooms

6. Library renovation

7. Renovation of Upper School classrooms (# 1-10)

We are now in the initial stages of building a new gym and elementary soccer field! The new gym will be located where the small soccer field was and will provide our students with the athletic facilities that many have asked for.  In front of the gym, the old concrete outdoor courts will give room to a new soccer field.

 

This will be an important step in our Master Facilities Plan that will address the highest priorities our stakeholders have identified.
